Driving
To reach Hollowell Park from Estes Park, enter Rocky Mountain National Park through the Beaver Meadows Entrance. Follow Bear Lake Road approximately 3.5 miles south of Highway 36; the turnoff for Hollowell Park Road will be on your right. The trailhead and picnic area are at the end of this short road. Park entrance fees apply: a 7-day pass costs $30 per vehicle.

Public Transport
From the Estes Park Visitor Center, take the Hiker Shuttle to the Park & Ride Transit Hub on Bear Lake Road. From there, transfer to the Bear Lake or Moraine Park Shuttle. Get off at the Hollowell Park stop. Shuttle tickets are free, but reservations are required and can be made on Recreation.gov. A timed-entry permit may also be required to access the Bear Lake Road corridor. Park entrance fees are also required.
