If you're starting from Durango, CO, head north on US-550 for about 36 miles. Turn east onto CO-184 and continue for approximately 5 miles until you reach the junction with CO-491. Turn south on CO-491 and drive for about 12 miles. Then, take a left onto County Road 10, which will lead you to Canyons of the Ancients National Monument. Follow the signs to Painted Hand Pueblo. Note that some dirt roads may require a high-clearance vehicle.
