    From Meriden, head to the Meriden Transit Center located at 1 West Main Street. Look for the CT Transit bus service that runs towards Hartford. You can take Bus Route 20, which goes directly to Hartford. Once you board the bus, sit back and enjoy the ride; it will take approximately 30 minutes to reach Hartford. Disembark at the stop nearest to Main Street, Hartford. From there, walk towards Main St and continue walking for about 5 minutes until you arrive at 396 Main St, where the Butler-McCook House & Garden is located.

    Make your way to the Meriden train station located at 60 State Street. You can take the Hartford Line train which runs to Hartford. Check the train schedule ahead of time for departure times. The train ride will take approximately 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Hartford Union Station, exit the station and head towards the main exit. From there, you can either walk or take a short bus ride to Main Street. If walking, head northeast on Asylum Street, then turn left onto Main Street, and walk for about 10 minutes to reach 396 Main St, where you'll find the Butler-McCook House & Garden.
