From I-95, take exit 9 for US-1 toward Stamford. Follow signs for Shippan Avenue. Continue onto Shippan Avenue. West Beach will be on your left. Parking is available at the beach, included with a beach permit or daily pass. Daily passes for non-Stamford registered vehicles cost $42.50 on weekdays and $69 on weekends and holidays. Stamford-registered vehicles are $26.50.

From anywhere in the Shippan neighborhood, West Beach is easily accessible by foot. Follow Shippan Avenue or smaller neighborhood streets towards the coast. Look for public access paths leading to the beach. Note that some cross streets end in private beaches.
