Start from the center of Avarua, near the Avarua Market. Head southeast on Ara Tapu (the main road) towards Nikao. Continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass several shops and local eateries along the way. After approximately 20 minutes of walking, keep an eye out for Hula Bar on your right side, located on Main Road, Nikao Avarua. It's situated just before Nikao Beach, making it a great spot to enjoy the scenery.
Bicycle
If you're renting a bicycle in Avarua, start from the Avarua Market and cycle southeast on Ara Tapu. The ride will take about 10 minutes, covering approximately 1.5 kilometers. You'll pass local shops and cafes on your left. Keep an eye out for Hula Bar on your right, just before you reach Nikao Beach. It's a perfect place to stop and relax after your ride.
Public Transport (Bus)
Locate the nearest bus stop in Avarua, which is usually near the Avarua Market. Take a local bus heading towards Nikao. The bus ride will take about 10-15 minutes. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the stop near Hula Bar. Once you disembark, Hula Bar will be a short walk away on Main Road, Nikao Avarua, located on your right side just before Nikao Beach.
