Walking
From the Avarua town center, head northwest on Ara Tapu Road towards the Avarua Harbor. Continue straight for about 800 meters until you reach the intersection with Makea Tinirau Road. Turn right onto Makea Tinirau Road and walk for approximately 300 meters. Taputapuatea will be on your left side, close to the roadside.

If you have access to a bicycle, start from the Avarua town center and ride northwest on Ara Tapu Road. Keep following the road for about 800 meters until you reach the junction with Makea Tinirau Road. Turn right onto Makea Tinirau Road and continue cycling for around 300 meters. You will find Taputapuatea on your left.

Catch a local bus from the Avarua town center heading towards the northern part of Rarotonga. Inform the driver you wish to go to Makea Tinirau Road. After a short ride of about 10 minutes, get off at the stop closest to Makea Tinirau Road. From the bus stop, walk approximately 300 meters down Makea Tinirau Road to your left, and you will find Taputapuatea.
