If you are starting from the Avarua Township, head southeast on Ara Tapu road. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach a junction. At the junction, keep right and continue on Ara Tapu road for another 500 meters. You will see The Waffle Shack on your left at coordinates Q6V8+QJQ, just past the local shops.
Bicycle
From the Avarua Township, rent a bicycle and ride southeast along Ara Tapu road. This route is approximately 1.5 kilometers long. After about 1 kilometer, you will come to a junction; make sure to keep right. Continue for another 500 meters, and The Waffle Shack will be on your left at Q6V8+QJQ, just past the local shops. This is a scenic route, so enjoy the ride!
Public Transport (Bus)
Catch a local bus heading towards Ruatonga Tapere from the main bus stop in Avarua. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Ara Tapu. The bus will drop you off about 300 meters away from The Waffle Shack. From there, walk down Ara Tapu road, and you will see The Waffle Shack on your left at Q6V8+QJQ, just past the local shops.
