Getting There

    From the center of Avatiu, start at the Avatiu Harbour. Head north along the main road (Ara Tapu) towards Avarua. Continue walking for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection near the Avarua Market. At this intersection, turn left onto the road leading to Tupapa Tapere. Follow the road for another 500 meters until you see the signs directing you to Arai-Te-Tonga. The historical landmark is located a short walk further down this road, just past the residential area.

    If you have access to a bicycle, you can ride from the center of Avatiu. Start at Avatiu Harbour and ride north on Ara Tapu for about 1.5 kilometers.
