Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Avatiu, head southeast towards the main road (Ara Tapu). Continue walking along Ara Tapu for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with the road leading towards Titikaveka. At the junction, turn left onto the road heading towards Titikaveka. Keep walking for approximately 3 kilometers, passing through the local sights and enjoying the scenery. Look for the signs pointing towards Avaavaroa Passage. After you pass a few small local shops, continue straight until you reach Snorkel Cook Islands, which will be located on your left at Avaavaroa Passage.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer to cycle, rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Avatiu. From the rental location, head southeast towards Ara Tapu. Cycle along Ara Tapu for about 1.5 kilometers. When you reach the junction with the road to Titikaveka, turn left. Continue cycling for about 3 kilometers, enjoying the coastal views. Keep an eye out for signage indicating Avaavaroa Passage. Snorkel Cook Islands will be on your left after passing several local shops.
