    From most accommodations or restaurants in Muri, Muri Beach is easily accessible by foot. The beach stretches along the coast, and access points are numerous. Simply walk towards the lagoon; you can't miss it. Many resorts have direct beach access.

  • Public Transport

    The Clockwise and Anti-Clockwise buses circle the island and stop at Muri Beach. From Avarua, the bus fare is between NZ$3 and NZ$12, and the journey takes approximately 15 minutes. Simply wave down the bus along the main road. Check the bus timetable for the most up-to-date schedule.

  • Taxi

    Taxis are readily available on Rarotonga. A taxi from Avarua to Muri Beach will cost approximately NZ$19-23 and take around 12 minutes. Taxi stands are located at the airport and in Avarua. You can also ask your accommodation to call a taxi for you.
