From Muri Beach, Mama Taras Bungalows is a short walk inland. Head west from the beach, away from the lagoon. The bungalows are located off the main road, in a quieter area with a 'village feel'. The walk is generally flat and takes only a few minutes.

The bus is a convenient way to reach Mama Taras. From anywhere on Rarotonga, take the clockwise or anti-clockwise bus service and alight at a stop near Muri Beach. From the bus stop, follow the walking directions to Mama Taras. A single bus fare costs between NZ$3 and NZ$12.
