    From Avarua, the main town on Rarotonga, the easiest way to reach Muri Beach is by taking the local bus. The 'Clockwise' bus departs from the Paradise Inn in Avarua every 30 minutes and will drop you off at Muri Beach Resort, a short walk from the beach. The journey takes approximately 15 minutes. A single ride costs NZ$3, or you can purchase an all-day pass for NZ$12.

    Taxis are readily available in Avarua and can take you directly to Muri Beach. The ride is approximately 12 minutes and costs between NZ$19-NZ$23. Several taxi companies operate on the island, including Rainbow Taxi and Muri Height Taxi. Taxis can also be pre-booked.
