From any point in Muri, head towards the main road that runs along the coast. If you're near the Muri Beach, walk towards the north end of the beach until you reach the junction with the main road. Once you reach the main road (Ara Tapu), turn left and walk along the road for approximately 10-15 minutes. You will pass several shops and local attractions along the way. Keep an eye out for the signs indicating 'Ngatangiia District' as you approach. The Mooring Fish Cafe is located at P7V8+2WV, just past Ngatangiia Village on your left. Look for a building with a welcoming atmosphere and outdoor seating areas.

If you have access to a bicycle, start from the Muri Beach area and follow the coastal path that leads to the main road (Ara Tapu). Turn left onto Ara Tapu and cycle for about 10-15 minutes. You will see signs for Ngatangiia District and The Mooring Fish Cafe is located at P7V8+2WV on your left, just a bit further past the village. The ride is pleasant, with scenic views of the ocean on your right.
