    From the Rarotonga International Airport, head north along the main road (Ara Tapu). Black Rock is approximately a 15-20 minute walk. Look for the parking area across the road from Antipodes. There are no costs associated with walking.

    The Clockwise bus departs from Cook's Corner in Avarua on the hour, every hour, from 7 am to 10 pm, Monday to Saturday. Take the bus and ask the driver to drop you off at Black Rock. From the bus stop, it's a short walk to the beach. A one-way bus fare is NZ$5.

  • Taxi

    Taxis are available from Avarua. A taxi ride to Black Rock will cost approximately NZ$15-NZ$20, with a minimum day fare of NZ$10. It's best to book a taxi by phone, as hailing one is difficult.
