Getting There

    From Avarua, head east on Ara Tapu Road, then turn left onto Takuvaine Road. Follow the signs to Wigmore's Waterfall. The dirt road leading to the waterfall is in poor condition and best suited for 4WD vehicles. Parking is available near the waterfall. Note that there may be a fee of around NZ$5 for cars/trucks.

    Take the local bus from Avarua towards the Takitumu District. Ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to Wigmore's Waterfall. From the bus stop, it's approximately a 20-minute walk along the path to the waterfall. Bus fare is between NZ$3-13.

    Taxis are available from Avarua to Wigmore's Waterfall. The ride is approximately 14.8 km and takes about 17 minutes. A taxi fare will cost approximately NZ$29-35.
