Getting There

  • Driving

    From La Fortuna, drive towards Tabacón Hot Springs and Arenal Volcano National Park. Just before Lake Arenal, turn left at the marked turn-off for the National Park entrance. Continue 9 km (5.6 miles) on the gravel road, following signs for Arenal Observatory Lodge. The road ends at the lodge's entrance gate. Note that a 4x4 vehicle is recommended due to the road conditions. There are no tolls on this route. Parking is available at the lodge.
