A taxi from La Fortuna to El Choyin costs approximately $15-$20 USD and takes around 15-20 minutes. It's advisable to arrange a return taxi in advance, as they are not always readily available at the hot springs.

Drive northwest from La Fortuna on Route 142. After passing Tabacon Resort, look for roadside parking. Parking is 'free' but expect to pay an unofficial attendant around 2,000-5,000 CRC ($4-$10 USD) to watch your car. Be cautious and don't leave valuables in the vehicle.

Walking from La Fortuna to El Choyin takes approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes along Route 142. This is not recommended due to the length and potential danger of walking along a busy road.
