Car
If you're driving from La Fortuna Waterfall, start by heading northwest on Route 142 towards La Fortuna. Continue on Route 142 for about 9 km. You will pass through the town of La Tigra. After approximately 9 km, keep an eye out for a sign for Catarata del Toro on your right. Turn right onto the gravel road that leads to the entrance. Follow the road for about 4 km until you reach the parking area. There may be a small fee for parking.

Public Transportation
To reach Catarata del Toro via public transport, take a bus from La Fortuna to Valverde Vega. Buses typically leave from the main bus station in La Fortuna. The ride takes about 30-45 minutes. Once you arrive in Valverde Vega, you can take a taxi for about 5 km to the entrance of Catarata del Toro. Be sure to confirm the taxi fare beforehand, as it may vary.

If you're feeling adventurous and are staying close to Valverde Vega, you can walk from the town to Catarata del Toro. From the center of Valverde Vega, head north on the main road (Route 126). It's about a 5 km walk, and you should be prepared for some uphill sections. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as it can be quite warm.
