By Car
If you're traveling by car from Sarapiquí, head southwest on the main road (Route 4) towards La Virgen. After about 15-20 minutes, you will reach the intersection with Route 126. Turn left onto Route 126 and continue for approximately 20 kilometers. You will pass through the town of Río Cuarto. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to La Colonia. The entrance to Pozas La Presa is located just a short distance off Route 126. Look for a small dirt road that leads to the parking area.

By Public Transportation
To reach Pozas La Presa via public transportation, first take a bus from Sarapiquí to Río Cuarto. Buses typically depart from the main terminal in La Virgen. The bus ride should take about 30-45 minutes and costs around 1,500 to 2,000 CRC. Once you arrive in Río Cuarto, you can either walk or take a taxi to Pozas La Presa. The distance from the bus stop to the entrance is roughly 5 kilometers, so walking may take about an hour. Alternatively, a taxi from the bus stop will cost approximately 3,000 to 4,000 CRC.

If you prefer to combine driving and walking, you can park your car at the nearby Río Cuarto town and then walk to Pozas La Presa. From the town center, head east along the main road until you see signs for La Colonia. The walk is about 4 kilometers and takes roughly an hour.
