Upon approaching the reserve, you'll be directed to the official parking lot, 'Parqueo Reserva Monteverde cloud Forest,' located about 1.7 km (1 mile) before the entrance. Parking costs $5 USD, which includes a shuttle to the entrance operating every 15 minutes from 7 AM to 5 PM. Alternatively, you can try to park along the road closer to the entrance, but security isn't guaranteed.
