Car
If you are driving from the entrance of Rincon de la Vieja National Park, head southeast on Route 1 for about 14 km until you reach the junction at La Cruz. Turn left onto Route 6 and continue for another 12 km. Look for signs indicating 'Mirador Valle Escondido Preserve' as you approach the area. The preserve is located approximately 150 meters east of the public school in Cerro Plano, Puntarenas Province.

Public Transportation
To reach Mirador Valle Escondido Preserve via public transportation, take a bus from Liberia to Monteverde. The bus ride will take approximately 3-4 hours. Once you arrive in Monteverde, you can take a local taxi or shuttle service to Cerro Plano. Make sure to inform the driver to drop you off at 150 meters east of the public school in Cerro Plano, where the preserve is located.

If you are already in the vicinity of Cerro Plano, you can walk to Mirador Valle Escondido Preserve. From the center of Cerro Plano, head east towards the public school. The preserve is located just 150 meters east of the school. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions if needed.
