Getting There

    If you are driving from La Fortuna, head southwest on Route 142 towards the town of La Tigra. After approximately 14 km, take a right onto Route 702. Continue for about 10 km until you reach the entrance to the trail leading to Catarata Danta, which is well marked. There is a small parking area available near the trailhead. Note that the road can be bumpy, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended.

    From La Fortuna, take a bus heading to La Tigra. Buses depart regularly from the main bus terminal. The fare is approximately 1,500 CRC (Costa Rican Colón). After about 30 minutes, ask the driver to drop you off at the intersection for Route 702. From there, you will need to walk around 2 km to reach the entrance of the Catarata Danta trailhead.
