    Grecia Park is centrally located in the town of Grecia, bordered by Avenida 2 Ismael Valerio. If you are in the town center, simply walk towards the red metal church (Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de las Mercedes); the park is directly in front of it. The park occupies a full square city block and is easily accessible from any point in the immediate downtown area.

  • Public Transport

    If arriving by bus from San José or other nearby towns, the long-distance bus station is located a few blocks north of the park. From the bus station, walk south towards the center of town. You will see the red metal church, and the park is in front of it. Local bus stops are located on the main street heading out of Grecia, about 50 meters south of Banco Nacional, or on the street west, across from Banco Popular. From these stops, walk towards the town center and the prominent red metal church.

  • Taxi

    Taxis are readily available in Grecia. Ask the driver to take you to 'Parque de Grecia' or 'Iglesia de Metal' (Metal Church). Taxi stands are located at the northwest corner of the park and at the west exit of the San José/Alajuela bus station. A short taxi ride within the town center should cost approximately ₡1,000-₡1,500 (approximately $2-$3 USD).
