  • Driving

    The Blue Falls of Costa Rica are located near Bajos del Toro. From San José, take Route 126 north towards La Fortuna, then Route 140 briefly before turning left onto Route 708. Follow Route 708 to the Blue Falls. The drive is approximately 2 hours from San José. From La Fortuna, take Highway 4, then connect to Route 708. The journey takes around 1 hour and 40 minutes. Parking is available across from the entrance. There are no mandatory tolls.

  • Public Transport

    While not the most convenient, public transport is possible. Take a bus from San José or Alajuela to Grecia. From Grecia, take the GRECIA - SANTA ISABEL DE RÍO CUARTO bus, which stops near the Blue Falls. From the bus stop, it's a short walk to the entrance. Verify bus schedules in advance. A one-way bus fare from San Jose to Grecia is approximately $3-4. An Uber from Grecia to the Blue Falls could cost around $20-$30.
