Walking
If you are starting from the central area of San José, head towards Avenida Central. This is a main pedestrian street lined with shops and cafes. Walk east on Avenida Central until you reach the intersection with Calle 1. Here, you’ll see the iconic Teatro Nacional de Costa Rica on your left. Continue straight until you reach the traffic circle, where you will see the statue of Juan Santamaría. From there, take the first exit onto Calle 3 and walk a few blocks. Parque Central de San José will be on your left, just before you reach Calle Central Alfredo Volio.

Public Transport (Bus)
Find a bus stop for routes that head towards downtown San José. Look for buses that have 'Centro' or 'San José Centro' on the front. Board the bus, and ask the driver to let you know when to get off for Parque Central. Most buses will drop you off near Avenida Central. Once you get off, walk east on Avenida Central until you reach the intersection with Calle 1, then follow the walking directions to Parque Central as mentioned above.
