Getting There

• Car

  From Sarapiquí town center, head northeast on Route 32 towards Puerto Viejo de Sarapiquí. Continue on Route 32 for about 12 kilometers until you reach the fork for Route 4. Take the right fork onto Route 4 towards La Virgen. Continue for another 6 kilometers until you see the signs for Av. El Lugar. Turn left onto Av. El Lugar and follow the road to El Lugar Costa Rica Resort, which will be on your right.

• Public Transportation

  From Sarapiquí, take a bus from the main bus terminal to Puerto Viejo de Sarapiquí. Look for a bus marked with 'Puerto Viejo' on the front. The journey takes about 30 minutes and costs approximately 1,500 CRC. Once you arrive at the Puerto Viejo de Sarapiquí bus station, you will need to take a taxi or walk. If walking, head west on Route 32 for about 1 kilometer, then turn right onto Route 4. Continue for about 1 kilometer, and then turn left onto Av. El Lugar. The resort will be a short distance ahead on your right.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Sarapiquí. Simply tell the driver you want to go to El Lugar Costa Rica Resort on Av. El Lugar in Puerto Viejo de Sarapiquí. The fare may vary but expect to pay around 4,000-6,000 CRC depending on your starting point and traffic conditions.
