Set your GPS to "Arenal Volcano National Park Visitor Center" to reach the main parking lot. Parking is free with your park entrance. To visit the Peninsula Sector, use "Volcan Arenal Sector Peninsula National Park" as your destination. Note that a 4x4 vehicle is not required to reach the visitor center. There are no buses that run directly to the park entrances.

    Taxis are available in La Fortuna, but can be expensive. A taxi ride from La Fortuna to Arenal Volcano National Park will cost around $25 USD. Negotiate the price before you get in.
