Boat
To reach Miss Junies Lodge, most travelers arrive by boat from La Pavona, the most common access point. Boats depart from La Pavona several times a day, typically coordinating with bus arrivals from Cariari and San José. The boat trip to Tortuguero takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on water levels. Upon arrival in Tortuguero, Miss Junies Lodge is located along the main street, a short walk from the boat dock. Boat tickets from La Pavona to Tortuguero cost around $8 USD (approximately ₡4,000 colones) per person. Alternatively, you can take a boat from Moin, which is accessible by bus or taxi from Limon. Boats generally leave the Moin docks around 10:00 a.m., and the ride through the canals takes about 3.5 hours. The cost is around $35-50 per person. If arriving by domestic flight to Tortuguero Airport, take a taxi boat to the village; this will cost $3-5 USD per person.

Walking
Once you arrive in Tortuguero via boat, Miss Junies Lodge is easily accessible on foot. From the main boat landing, walk north along the main path through the village. Miss Junies is located a short distance from the center of the village, on the lagoon side. The walk is generally flat and takes about 5-10 minutes. There are no cars in Tortuguero , so walking is the primary mode of transport within the village.
