Getting There

Car
From the center of Tortuguero, head south on the main road towards the entrance of Tortuguero National Park. Continue straight for about 7 kilometers until you reach the junction. At the junction, turn left onto the road leading to Colorado. Follow this road for approximately 3 kilometers, and you will see the sign for Sendero Cerro Tortuguero on your right. Park your car at the designated area and proceed on foot to the trail entrance.

Public Transportation
From Tortuguero village, walk to the local docks where you can catch a boat. Ask the boat operator for a ride to Colorado; they are familiar with the destination. The boat ride will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Colorado, you can either walk towards Sendero Cerro Tortuguero or take a local taxi. If you walk, follow the main path leading away from the dock for about 1.5 kilometers, and you will reach the trail entrance.
