Parking in the area may be limited, so be prepared to park at designated areas nearby.

Public Transportation
To reach Tortuguero by public transport, take a bus to La Pavona from San José or any nearby town. Upon arriving at La Pavona, you will need to take a boat taxi to Tortuguero. The boat ride takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive in Tortuguero, navigate towards the main dock area, and from there, walk 175 meters south to find Tortuguero Adventures. Make sure to check the boat schedules as they can vary. There will be a fee for the boat taxi, typically around $30 per person.

Once you are in Tortuguero, you can easily walk to Tortuguero Adventures. From the main dock, head south along the main path for approximately 175 meters.
