• Car

  If you're driving from any part of the Dubrovnik Riviera, head towards Dubrovnik city. Use the D8 road, which runs along the coast. Follow the signs for Dubrovnik, and as you approach the city, look for signs directing you to the Old Town. There is limited parking near Pile Gate. You can park in the parking lots near the Pile Gate entrance, such as the Parking Lot P1. Note that parking fees are applicable, and it costs around 20 HRK per hour. Once parked, walk towards the Pile Gate, which is a short distance away.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, find a bus that travels to Dubrovnik from your location within the Riviera. The local bus service (Libertas Dubrovnik) operates several routes into the city. If you're in areas like Cavtat or Mlini, take bus numbers 10 or 11, respectively, heading towards Dubrovnik. The ride costs about 20 HRK. Disembark at the Pile bus station, which is the closest stop to Pile Gate. From the bus station, it’s a short 5-minute walk to Pile Gate. Just follow the signs to the Old Town, and you won’t miss it.

• Taxi or Rideshare

  If you prefer a more direct route, consider taking a taxi or using a rideshare service like Uber. Simply input Pile Gate as your destination, and the driver will take you there directly. The cost may vary depending on your starting point, but expect to pay around 150-300 HRK from nearby towns in the Dubrovnik Riviera. This is a convenient option, especially if you are traveling with luggage or in a group.
