Walking
Margita Hvar is located on Ul. Ivana Bozitkovica 22, a short walk from the center of Hvar town. From Hvar City Harbour, walk southwest along the main promenade, Riva. Turn right onto Ul. Vlade Avelinija. Continue onto Ul. Ivana Bozitkovica. The apartment will be on your right. This should take approximately 10-15 minutes. There are no costs associated with walking.
Public Transport
If arriving by ferry or catamaran to Hvar Town, the boarding pier bus station is approximately 750 meters from Margita Apartments. From the bus station, follow the directions for walking. A local bus service operates on Hvar, connecting Hvar Town with other settlements on the island, such as Stari Grad and Jelsa. Bus tickets from Hvar to Stari Grad cost 27 kn, Hvar to Jelsa is 39 kn, Hvar to Vrboska is 33 kn and Hvar to Sucuraj is 65 kn. Please note that buses may not meet all ferries.
Taxi
Taxis are readily available at the Hvar Town ferry port. A taxi from the ferry port to Margita Hvar will cost approximately €15-€20, depending on traffic and the time of day. The journey takes around 5-10 minutes. Confirm the price with the driver before starting your journey.
Driving
If arriving by car ferry to Stari Grad, you can drive to Hvar town. The drive is approximately 20 km and takes around 30 minutes. Parking in Hvar town can be challenging, especially during peak season. Several parking lots are available, including City Parking Hvar Center 1 (Dolac 1) and City Parking Hvar Center 3 (Dolac 3). Expect to pay around €1.30 per hour or €13 per day at City Parking Hvar Center 1. Other parking options may be available further from the center at a lower cost. Be aware that some streets in Hvar town are narrow.
