Getting there

Driving

From Hvar Town, follow the D116 road east for approximately 8 km. After passing through a 1.5km tunnel, look for a parking area on the left side of the road. Parking is limited, especially during peak season. From the parking area, a steep, rocky path leads down to Dubovica Beach. The descent takes about 10-15 minutes. Parking is free. Be aware that the road is narrow and winding.

Public Transport

A bus stop is located near the entrance to Dubovica Beach. Check the local bus schedules at the Hvar Town tourism office for routes and times, as service reliability can vary. From the bus stop, follow the steep, rocky path down to the beach. A single bus fare from Hvar Town is approximately 20-30 Kuna.

Taxi/Water Taxi

Taxis are readily available in Hvar Town. A one-way taxi ride to Dubovica Beach is estimated to cost between 150-200 Kuna. Alternatively, consider a water taxi from Hvar Town directly to Dubovica Beach. Negotiate the fare before departure. Water taxi prices vary depending on the number of passengers and time of day.

Dubovica Beach is a hidden gem nestled on the southern coast of Hvar Island, approximately 8 km east of Hvar Town. The sea around Dubovica Beach is even an Underwater Archaeological Zone.To reach Dubovica, a scenic drive along winding coastal roads from Hvar Town leads to a small parking area. From there, a short but somewhat steep and rocky path descends to the beach. The 10-15 minute hike can be challenging, so wearing appropriate footwear is recommended. Despite its secluded nature, Dubovica Beach offers a small beach bar and a konoba (traditional restaurant) where visitors can enjoy refreshments and local cuisine.
