Car
If you are traveling by car from Sljeme Mountain to Zoo Zagreb, start by heading southeast on the main road, which is the D1 highway. Continue on D1 for about 15 kilometers. Look for signs leading to 'Zagreb' and merge onto the A1 highway. Take the exit 12 for 'Zagreb' and continue on the road, following signs for 'Centar'. After approximately 5 kilometers, you will reach the city center area. Follow the signs to Ul. Fakultetsko dobro, where the zoo is located. Parking is available near the zoo but may incur a fee of around 10 HRK per hour.

Public Transportation
To reach Zoo Zagreb using public transportation from Sljeme Mountain, first, take bus line 140 from the nearest bus stop in Sljeme. This bus will take you to the 'Maksimir' bus station. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Maksimir, transfer to tram line 11 or 12. These trams will take you directly to the stop 'Fakultetsko dobro', which is very close to the zoo entrance. The total cost for this journey is approximately 20 HRK for the bus and 10 HRK for the tram.
