Walking
If you are starting from the Riva Promenade, head east towards the historic center of Split. Walk along the waterfront until you reach the large fountain at the end of the promenade. From the fountain, continue straight into the narrow street called Obrov. Follow Obrov until you reach the main square, known as Narodni Trg (People's Square). Once at Narodni Trg, look for the large building that houses the City Hall; Plaza de la República is just around the corner from there, located at Trg Republike 2.

Starting from Diocletian's Palace, exit through the Silver Gate (Srebrna vrata) and turn left. Walk along the street, and after a short distance, you will see the entrance to the Fruit Square (Voćni trg) on your right. Continue straight through the square and turn right onto Ulica Grgura Ninskog. Follow this street until you reach the intersection, and Plaza de la República will be directly in front of you at Trg Republike 2.
