Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from within Bohemia, you can take the D8 motorway towards Prague. Take exit 1 towards Holešovice and follow the signs for Prague 7. Continue on the road until you reach U Trojského zámku, where the zoo is located. There is parking available at the zoo, but it may incur a fee, so be prepared with some Czech koruna.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach the Prague Zoo via public transport, you can take a train or bus to Prague. If you arrive at Prague Main Station, head to the nearby metro station 'Hlavní nádraží' and take Metro Line C (the red line) towards Letňany. Get off at the 'Nádraží Holešovice' station. From there, transfer to tram number 12 or 17 and get off at 'Zoologická zahrada' stop. The zoo entrance is a short walk from the tram stop. Be aware that a single ticket for public transport costs about 40 CZK.
