The Church of St. Simon and Jude, nestled in Prague's Old Town (Staré Město), boasts a rich history that intertwines with the city's cultural and religious evolution. Originally a Gothic chapel dating back to the 14th century, it was expanded by the Czech Brothers between 1615 and 1620 into a church dedicated to Saint Simon the Apostle and Saint Jude. The church became part of the adjacent Brothers Hospitallers monastery. In the 18th century, the church's exterior was transformed with Baroque modifications. The interior features a main altar by Josef Hager from 1773 and paintings by Jan Onghers. After being used as a practice space for the Prague Symphony Orchestra in the 1990s, the Church of St. Simon and Jude is now a concert hall that hosts classical music performances and other cultural events.
