    The Bethany Beach Boardwalk is centrally located and easily accessible on foot from most points within the town of Bethany Beach. From anywhere in town, simply head east towards the ocean. Garfield Parkway leads directly to the main entrance of the boardwalk at the Bandstand.

    Public Transport

    The Bethany Beach Trolley provides convenient access to the boardwalk during the summer season. The trolley route includes several stops throughout the town, and you can flag it down anywhere along the route except on Route 26, Route 1, and Jefferson Bridge Road. The trolley fare is free. The nearest bus station to Bethany Beach Boardwalk is Garfield Ave @ Pennsylvania Ave. It's a 10 min walk away.

    Driving

    If driving to the Bethany Beach Boardwalk, be aware that parking can be challenging during the peak season. Public parking spaces are available throughout the town, but they fill up quickly, especially on weekends. Parking is pay-to-park from May 15 through September 15. The current rate is $3.00 per hour. You can pay at the pay stations or use the Parkmobile app. Daily and weekly permits are available. There are eight Level 2 electric vehicle charging stations in Bethany Beach. Each station is equipped with two charging cords so that two electric vehicles can charge simultaneously. The chargers are universal so that all makes, and models of electric vehicles can utilize the service. To initiate the charge, payments can be made at the charging station by credit card with an initial fee of $2.00. The user will then be charged $0.50 per kWh to utilize the station.

It was reconstructed in 1912 and replaced again in 1923 with an elevated structure, following the 1920 storm which destroyed the boardwalk and many beachfront homes. The boardwalk would be rebuilt again and again throughout the succeeding years as many storms took their toll on the coastline. Today's boardwalk stands as a testament to the town's resilience and commitment to providing a welcoming space for visitors and residents alike.
