From the Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center, exit the refuge onto Refuge Road and turn right onto Route 9 (S. Little Creek Road). Continue for approximately 5 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 1. Turn left onto Route 1 South. Drive for about 6 miles, then take the exit for Route 13 South toward Smyrna. After about 2 miles, take the exit toward Smyrna/Delaware City and continue on Route 13. After about 3 miles, take the exit for Route 6 East (toward Smyrna). Continue on Route 6 for about 4 miles until you reach Woodland Beach. Follow the signs to the beach area.
