Getting There

  • Walking

    Starting from the Lewes Canal Park, head southeast on Canal Street. Continue straight as Canal Street merges into E. Savannah Road. Walk for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Kings Highway (Route 9). Cross Kings Highway at the crosswalk and continue straight onto E. Cape Henlopen Drive. After approximately 0.6 miles, you will see the Lewes Lighthouse on your left, just past the entrance to Cape Henlopen State Park.

    From downtown Lewes, begin at the intersection of 2nd Street and Market Street. Head south on Market Street, which becomes 3rd Street. Continue on 3rd Street until you reach the junction with Kings Highway (Route 9). Turn right onto Kings Highway and bike for about 1 mile. Then, turn left onto E. Cape Henlopen Drive. The Lewes Lighthouse will be approximately 0.5 miles ahead on your right, just past the entrance to Cape Henlopen State Park.
