Walking
From the center of Middletown, head east on Main Street. Walk for about half a mile until you reach the intersection with Route 299. Turn left onto Route 299 and continue walking for another mile. You will pass some shops and restaurants along the way. After one mile, look for signs directing you to the bus stop for DART First State. Take the DART bus route 40 towards Wilmington. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the stop at 1400 Delmarva Lane. Once you get off the bus, the DuPont Environmental Education Center will be directly ahead.

If you have a bike, start from the Middletown Town Center. Head east on Main Street, which will turn into Route 299. Continue biking for about one mile. You will find a bike lane along Route 299 which makes the ride safe and comfortable. Once you reach the intersection with Route 1, continue straight for another mile until you see signs for the DuPont Environmental Education Center. Follow the bike path that leads directly into the park area.
