Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Wilmington Riverwalk, head northeast on the Riverwalk towards the intersection with N. Market St. Turn left onto N. Market St. and continue until you reach the intersection with 2nd St. Turn right onto 2nd St. and walk east until you reach the intersection with N. Walnut St. Turn left onto N. Walnut St. and follow it as it becomes N. King St. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Delmarva Lane. Turn right onto Delmarva Lane and walk straight to Russell Peterson Wildlife Refuge, located at 1400 Delmarva Lane.

  • Public Transit

    From the Wilmington Train Station, take the DART First State Bus Route 18 towards New Castle. Get off at the stop at 8th St and N. Walnut St. From there, walk north on N. Walnut St. until you reach the intersection with Delmarva Lane. Turn left onto Delmarva Lane and continue walking straight for about half a mile to reach Russell Peterson Wildlife Refuge at 1400 Delmarva Lane.
