    From the New Castle Court House Museum on Delaware Street, walk south towards the river. Battery Park is located at the end of Delaware Street, offering a scenic entrance to the park. No costs involved.

    From Wilmington Bus Station, take the DART Route 051 bus to the stop at Chestnut Street @ River Plaza Shop Ctr in New Castle. From there, walk southwest on Chestnut Street, then turn left onto Delaware Street. Continue to follow Delaware Street to Battery Park. The bus fare is approximately $2.00.

  • Driving

    From I-95, take Route 141 (Basin Road) east until it becomes Washington Street. Continue until it dead-ends at 7th Street, then turn left. At the next stop sign, turn right onto South Street. Follow South Street past 5th Street; the parking lot for Battery Park will be on your right. Parking is free. Public parking is also available near Battery Park at 27 W. 3rd St.
