The Vang water mill, dating from 1811 and among Bornholm's best-preserved mills, stands nearby and represents the island's rich milling heritage. The Vang Granite Quarry, which operated until 1996, has been transformed into a geological and outdoor recreation area with unique landscapes shaped by decades of extraction. Hiking trails connect Vang to these sites and to broader coastal paths offering spectacular views of cliffs, abandoned quarries, and the surrounding seascape.

The pier and beach are accessible year-round, though swimming and diving are most comfortable during summer months. Winter visitors can enjoy the dramatic coastal views and quieter atmosphere, particularly from the DGI bridge, which offers panoramic vistas across the pier, quarry, and on clear days, all the way to Hammershus Castle ruins.
