Damestenen
Damestenen, known as the Lady Stone, is Denmark's largest glacial erratic boulder, weighing over 1,200 tonnes and measuring 13 metres long. Located in open fields near the village of Hesselager on East Funen, this colossal granite block has captivated visitors since 1763. Transported from Sweden during the last ice age approximately 18,000 years ago, the boulder bears 12 Bronze Age cup marks and stands as a remarkable testament to the power of ancient glaciers. A dedicated car park and walking trails make this geological wonder easily accessible.

Tranekær Castle
Tranekær Castle rises from a hat-shaped hill on northern Langeland, its long red wings and crow-stepped gables reflected in a broad moat. Dating back to the 12th century and still inhabited by the Ahlefeldt-Laurvig family, it is considered Denmark’s oldest lived-in secular residence. Beyond the fortified walls, landscaped grounds, artworks in nature and the surrounding village tell a thousand years of power struggles, noble romance and modern estate life.

Leuchtturm
Set on the quiet north coast of Langeland, Tranekær Lighthouse is a modest 9‑metre coastal beacon standing at the end of Bukkeskovvej, about 4 km east of Tranekær village. Built in 1897 and decommissioned in 1977, it now serves as a nostalgic maritime landmark overlooking the Langelandsbælt strait.
