Røverknolden is a nature-based playground nestled in Rold Forest, Denmark's largest continuous woodland. This imaginative play space combines adventure equipment with artistic wooden sculptures, musical instruments, and sensory installations that encourage children to explore and engage with the natural environment. The site features slides, zip wires, climbing structures, and themed play elements inspired by forest folklore, all set among towering trees and woodland trails.

Car
From Skørping town center, drive approximately 5 kilometers northeast on Rebildvej toward Rebild. Røverknolden is clearly signposted along this route. Journey time is approximately 8–12 minutes depending on traffic. Dedicated parking is available at Røverknolden parking area and at Vedstedskovhus madpakkehus (picnic house) located at Rebild Kirkevej 8. Parking is free.
Bicycle
From Skørping, follow local cycling routes toward Rebild, approximately 5 kilometers. The journey takes 15–20 minutes on regional roads and forest paths. Bicycle parking facilities are available at the playground. This option is suitable for families with older children or experienced cyclists comfortable with mixed terrain.
Public Transport & Walking
Regional buses serve Skørping and surrounding areas. From Skørping bus station, take a regional bus toward Rebild (journey approximately 10–15 minutes). Alight near Rebild area and walk approximately 1.5–2 kilometers through forest paths to reach Røverknolden. Walking time from bus stop is approximately 20–30 minutes. Check local bus schedules in advance as service frequency varies seasonally.
Walking from Nearby Attractions
Røverknolden connects to broader Rold Forest trail networks. If visiting nearby attractions such as Vedstedskovhus or other forest sites, walking between locations is feasible. Forest paths are generally well-marked but can be muddy or uneven, particularly after rain. Walking from Vedstedskovhus takes approximately 10–15 minutes.
