    From Roseau, take a minibus (look for license plates starting with 'H') heading towards the Kalinago Territory. Minibuses are a common and affordable way to travel around Dominica. The ride to Salybia, where Aywasi Kalinago Retreat is located, will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. The cost is around EC$12 (US$4.50), but confirm the fare with the driver before departure. From the Salybia bus stop, the retreat is a short walk away.

    Taxis are readily available at both Melville Hall Airport (DOM) and Canefield Airport (DCF). A taxi from Melville Hall Airport to Aywasi Kalinago Retreat will cost approximately EC$100 (US$37). From Canefield Airport, the fare will be around EC$200 (US$74). Confirm the price with the driver before starting your journey. The drive from Melville Hall is about 1 hour, while from Canefield it's about 1.5 hours. Taxis can also be hired from Roseau, with fares varying depending on the distance.

    From Roseau, follow the Dr. Nicholas Liverpool Highway towards the east coast. Continue onto the East Coast Road, following signs for the Kalinago Territory and Salybia. The drive is approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Note that driving is on the left side of the road in Dominica. A driving permit is required, costing US$12, and can be obtained from your car rental company. Be prepared for narrow, winding roads with steep inclines. Parking is available at the retreat.
