From the center of Puerto Plata, head to the main bus terminal, which is located near the Parque Central. Look for the buses heading towards 'Sosúa' or 'Cabarete.' Make sure to inform the driver or the ticket seller that you want to go to 'Damajagua' or 'Las Yaguitas' as they will know the route. The bus ride should take around 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the intersection for Las Yaguitas, ask the driver to drop you off.

Motoconcho (motorcycle taxi)
After you arrive at the stop for Las Yaguitas, you can catch a motoconcho from the roadside. These motorcycle taxis are a popular and fast way to travel short distances. Negotiate the fare before getting on (around 100-150 pesos should be reasonable). Tell the driver you want to go to the entrance of the Damajagua waterfalls, and they will take you there directly. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes.

Walking
If you prefer to walk after getting off the bus at the Las Yaguitas intersection, head towards the main road which will lead you to the Damajagua entrance. It’s about a 2-kilometer walk, which should take roughly 25-30 minutes. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions to ensure you stay on the right path. You will pass through some local neighborhoods and might have the chance to enjoy the scenery along the way.
