Walking
If you are starting from the central Parque Independencia in Puerto Plata, head south on Calle 12 de Julio toward the intersection with Av. Gral. Gregorio Luperón. Turn left onto Av. Gral. Gregorio Luperón and continue walking for about 1 kilometer. You will pass various shops and local eateries along the way. As you approach the waterfront, look for the signs directing you to Fortaleza de San Felipe, which is located near the Puerto Plata Harbor. The fortress will be on your right, situated at the end of the park.

Public Transport (Guagua)
From Parque Independencia, find a guagua (local minibus) heading towards the waterfront. Board the guagua and inform the driver that your destination is Fortaleza de San Felipe. The ride should take about 10 minutes. Once you arrive, you can follow the signs to the fortress which is located near the harbor. Be sure to check the operating times as guaguas may vary.

If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Puerto Plata. Simply tell the driver you want to go to Fortaleza de San Felipe, located at Puerto Plata Harbor LightHouse, Parque San Felipe, Av. Gral. Gregorio Luperón.
