From Puerto Plata, head to the main bus terminal, which is located on Avenida 27 de Febrero. Look for a bus heading towards Cabarete. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Cabarete, get off at the main bus stop. From there, walk east on Avenida General Gregorio Luperón for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with Calle 5. Turn left at Calle 5 and continue walking for another 5 minutes. The entrance to National Park El Choco will be on your right.

If you prefer a faster option, find a motoconcho stand near your location in Puerto Plata. Negotiate a fare to Cabarete. The ride should take around 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive in Cabarete, ask the driver to drop you off at the main bus stop. From there, walk east on Avenida General Gregorio Luperón for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with Calle 5. Turn left at Calle 5 and continue walking for another 5 minutes. The entrance to National Park El Choco will be on your right.
